In brief: There is no single number for what a luxury London wedding costs, because guest count and production ambition move the total more than any other decision. This guide explains what actually drives the cost, how our fee works, and why we publish real numbers when most agencies will not.

Why Nobody Gives You A Straight Answer

Ask most planners what a wedding costs and you get a shrug, or a number so vague it is useless. That is not caution. It is often a way of avoiding a conversation that should happen on day one.

We do it differently. Have the budget conversation first, not last. Reverse engineer it: start from the total you are comfortable spending, then work out what that number can carry at the standard you expect.

What Actually Drives The Number

Guest count drives more of the cost than any other single input. Catering, furniture, stationery and space requirements all scale with it. Fix the guest list philosophy early and the rest of the budget behaves.

Production ambition is the second lever. A room that comes dressed, with its own character, costs less to transform than a blank space built from the floor up. Compare venues on the dressed cost, not the hire fee.

The third: event costs have risen at least 30% since the pandemic. A budget benchmarked against a wedding you attended a few years ago is already out of date.

Our Fee, Explained

We work on a cost-plus model. You see the real cost of every supplier, and our fee sits on top, transparently. It is tailored to each project, guided by scale, complexity and how much of the day we run, typically 15% to 20% of your budget, with fees starting from £15,000. We do take on smaller projects on a case-by-case basis, so it is worth a conversation even if you think you are under that.

No mark-ups hidden inside supplier quotes. No commission you never see. What we sell is not planning. It is certainty, control and outcome, and the fee is priced accordingly. If price is your priority, we are not the right agency for you.

Where The Budget Actually Goes

Venue and catering typically anchor the largest share. Florals, production and entertainment scale hardest with ambition, not guest count. Photography, videography, stationery and transport are smaller lines that get cut first when a budget is compressed, and regretted first afterwards.

Build in a contingency line from day one. A budget with zero flexibility is not a budget. It is a guess dressed up as a plan.
