Luxury Wedding Planner London
In brief: A luxury wedding in London means dozens of suppliers, a compressed planning window against premium venue availability, and a budget that scales fast once guest count and production ambition are set. This guide covers what a wedding planner actually does, what it costs, and why certainty matters more than ideas.
The Wedding Is Not The Hard Part. Coordinating It Is.
Anyone can find inspiration. Pinterest solved that problem for free. What is hard is turning forty supplier contracts, a venue with its own rules, and a day that cannot be rerun into something that runs on time and feels effortless to your guests.
That is what a wedding planner is actually for. Not ideas. Certainty.
Start Earlier Than You Think
For a London wedding at the level most couples in this market expect, the planning timeline is 12 to 18 months. Starting late compresses every decision, and compressed decisions lead to compromises on the one day you cannot rerun.
A realistic sequence looks like this:
12 to 18 months out: set the budget, shortlist and secure the venue. London's best venues book 12 months ahead, and popular dates go first.
9 to 12 months out: confirm the caterer, book entertainment and band or DJ. The strongest acts book 6 to 9 months out, sometimes earlier for peak season.
6 to 9 months out: design development, photographer and videographer, production planning.
3 to 6 months out: invitations, menu tastings, technical production detail. Production and design builds need at least 3 months of lead time.
Final 3 months: guest list confirmation, table planning, running order, supplier final confirmations, timeline lock.
Venue Matters More Than You Think
We operate at London's most selective venues, including The Savoy, Claridge's, The Ritz, The Londoner and The Grove. Each has different strengths, and the right venue depends on guest count, style, production requirements and catering logistics.
One thing couples rarely price in: some venues come dressed, some come naked. A characterful room needs little more than lighting and florals. A blank space needs building from the floor up, and that build cost can outweigh the difference in hire fee. Compare venues on the dressed cost, not the hire fee.
Venue selection should never happen in isolation. It needs to account for everything that follows.
The Budget Conversation
Have it first, not last. We work on a cost-plus model: a transparent agency fee on top of real supplier costs. It is tailored to each project, guided by scale, complexity and how much of the day we run, typically 15% to 20% of your budget, with fees starting from £15,000. We do take on smaller projects on a case-by-case basis, so it is worth a conversation even if you think you are under that.
We are not the cheapest, and if price is your priority, we are the wrong choice for you. What we sell is not planning. It is certainty, control and outcome.
The Supplier Web
A London wedding at this level typically involves 20 to 40 suppliers: caterer, florist, lighting designer, sound engineer, photographer, videographer, band or DJ, MC, stationery designer, transport, security, venue dressing, furniture hire, cake.
Each supplier has their own brief, timeline and contact person. Without a single coordination spine, information gets lost between them. The florist does not know what the lighting designer has planned. The caterer does not know the running order.
What JustSeventy Brings
JustSeventy has been delivering high-end private and corporate events since 2011, turning 15 in March 2026. Roughly £15 million delivered cumulatively, run by a six-person studio plus an in-house production division, with a purpose-built delivery platform that makes the process predictable rather than heroic.
We handle the creative design, the supplier coordination, the budget control, the production and the on-the-day delivery. You get to be present for your wedding instead of managing it.
