White Wedding
Location: Claridge's, London
Florals: Rob Van Helden Floral Design
Clean, crisp and candlelit in the Claridge's Ballroom. The brief was a classic base lifted by precise design rather than volume. Under the reception chandelier stood a grand urn of hydrangeas in layered pinks, which turned out to be a bespoke love seat as well as a centrepiece. Clear plinths, vases and registrar table kept the room light and left the white aisle uninterrupted.
During the drinks reception the JustSeventy and Claridge's teams turned the room from ceremony to dinner dance. Rows of chairs became round tables in soft grey linen. The theatrical lighting stayed. A grand piano and string quartet held the classical side, while a monogrammed dance floor and slick DJ booth pulled it contemporary. A nine-tier cake in silver leaf arrived wreathed in roses. Three ballerinas in white LED tutus danced the guests into the party.
