Timelessly Chic

A Bat Mitzvah and an adult birthday in the same room. Most people would tell you the two don't combine. The brief was a cool nightclub, styled for the adults, with enough going on to keep the Bat Mitzvah girl and her friends occupied all night. Keep the young ones busy and the adults can actually switch off.
A film studio gives you scope most venues can't. The focal point was a raised central bar beneath thousands of suspended balloons, a studio cloud that pulled the high ceiling down and made the room feel intimate. Lasers, podiums and a catwalk bench turned it into an Ibiza club, with dancers taking the bench later and CO2 guns cooling the floor. This family did not want gimmicks, so the only nod to the theme was a suspended double C monogram over the DJ booth. A well-known DJ filled a bespoke Perspex dance floor in black and gold diamonds. Food ran on stations dotted around the room so people kept moving: a Land Rover pizza oven, instant ice cream, sushi, salads, milkshakes and bespoke cocktails. Staff wore branded t-shirts cut like nightclub crew, matching the casual chic dress code. A full-size Scalextric took the adults back to their youth. An airstream photo booth took the children.
