A London ballroom was transformed into an immersive alpine chalet inspired by the family’s love of Zermatt and winter sports culture. Hosted at The Berkeley, this Bar Mitzvah brought the atmosphere of a luxury mountain retreat into the heart of the city, creating a warm, playful and completely transportive experience for guests from the moment the ballroom doors opened.

Vintage skis, timber panelling, faux fur textures, candlelight and personalised ski details turned the space into “Chez Max”, an authentic chalet environment layered with thoughtful references to the family’s favourite ski destination. Zermatt piste maps, ski-pass escort cards and panoramic Matterhorn visuals created a sense of journey throughout the evening, while elegant alpine-inspired tablescapes kept the design elevated and refined. Cosy yet energetic, the celebration balanced intimate chalet atmosphere with the excitement of a full-scale après-ski party late into the night.
