BAT MITZVAH AT ROSEWOOD LONDON

Her family told us that she is colourful, fun and unique… so surely Maddie’s Bat Mitzvah needed to be exactly that! Set at a firm JustSeventy favourite, Rosewood London, the team were only too happy to let the ideas flow and develop the perfect concept.

A hot sunny day in July, guests made their way to the hotel event spaces where they were greeted by a summer garden of florals. Hydrangeas, dahlias and peonies formed part of the bright summery arrangements throughout the venue. Since the family are predominantly based in the Cotwolds, the JustSeventy team loved the concept of bringing a wild countryside garden to this stylish London hotel. Once it was known that the vast majority of invitees would be of different faiths, educating the guest on the spiritual significance of having a Bat Mitzvah was to be incorporated within the meaningful ceremony.

Filing in, the guests took their seats around a custom-built circular stage which maximised space and allowed all guests an excellent view of what was explained in their detailed individual booklets. The ceremony, led by Rabbi and Cantor, was a beautifully inclusive occasion, allowing Maddie and her family to welcome everyone, and have them present for her special day.

After Maddie’s heartfelt words and completion of the ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of canapés and beverages, including the all-important Cotswolds Gin! The final touches were in place and the JustSeventy team were so excited to show the Ballroom to all the guests, following months of preparation to ensure that the spirit of Maddie had been captured in the event design.

Mint green was the base and favourite colour, with floral designs providing pops of pink throughout. Bold wild florals mixed with wonderfully fun and detailed tableware made for simply stunning table design.

Whether the stage, the bar or the stationery, all elements were expertly colour-matched to fit this luxury event style. Distressed wood was seen in the staging, bar and dance floor which, when paired with the rigged festoon lighting, gave a beach-side festival feel to certain aspects.

Once underway, the guests were treated to some delicious food, phenomenal music and creative visual displays. The family had envisioned their speeches being more interactive and therefore, along with the right partners, the JustSeventy team created some gripping content to both engage and amuse the guests.

The whole evening flowed beautifully with dinner courses interspersed with speeches, before the party really took hold and the entertainment was fully experienced. The family, owning a farm, provided their own beef to serve to their friends and family on the night… naturally, they all loved it! Breaking the mould, JustSeventy had sourced some captivating event entertainment including a five-piece band, henna artists and Pan-n-Ice (the latest trend in instantly turning your favourite chocolate bars, brownies and sweet treats into ice cream!!). The real pièce de résistance does however have to be mentioned… an ice sculpture of one of the family’s own cows! Again ensuring their farm was incorporated into the evening, how could an ice cow vodka luge be resisted?!

Dancing and having fun until the very last song was played and confetti explosion done, the guests could only rave about their incredible evening spent at Rosewood London… what a night!
