Love Against the Current

Planned during the uncertainty of 2020, this intimate wedding proved that scale has nothing to do with atmosphere, emotion or beauty. Hosted within the family’s riverside garden overlooking the Oxfordshire stretch of the Thames, the celebration embraced the warmth of home, the romance of an English country garden and the joy of simply being together with those closest to them.

Designed around the natural beauty of the property, guests moved through each garden space throughout the day, from the White Garden reception to a fragrant Rose Garden ceremony filled with soft florals and romantic detail. The layered tablescapes and an elegant pastel palette created an atmosphere that felt refined yet deeply personal, while live performances from friends and family brought a unique sense of intimacy and connection to the celebration. Thoughtful details, cultural touches and the couple’s unforgettable departure by rowing boat along the river transformed the day into something quietly magical and entirely unforgettable.
