The client wanted every guest at their son's Bar Mitzvah to feel welcomed into the family home. The venue had to be quintessentially British, with high ceilings and real grandeur, and then be made to feel domestic. Mostly long elegant tables with assorted floral designs, and a mixture of table shapes to break the formality.
Fabric did the work. Under every single table sat a carefully chosen rug, which is what carried the feeling of home more than any other decision. The client selected the table linen personally and we had it made up into cloths sized to the room. A graffiti wall, quirky furniture and mixed flowers and foliage filled the rest. A premium caterer handled the food. A well-known show band played from a bespoke stage positioned centrally, so nobody was watching from behind.
