A Violet Romance
Location: The Savoy, London
Florals: John Carter
Who says a white wedding is the only way. This Jewish wedding took a daring purple and lime green palette and made it work. The ceremony was held in the Edwardian Abraham Lincoln room, where a marriage of French royalty took place in 1895. A garden of purple and lime florals lined the full aisle, leading to a majestic chuppah by John Carter. Low lighting throughout the room left the chuppah as the only thing to look at.
The palette carried into the Lancaster Ballroom, now with fresh fruit and candles worked into the floral designs. Guests entered through an oval floral installation that became the photograph everyone wanted. Festival Mibley, a show band flown in from Paris, filled a custom circular dance floor. A raised VIP gave the couple and their closest friends the best view in the room. Lime green candles and a single pink rose at every place setting.
